Staff Authority and Player Support |
| §1.1 |
The staff has the right to enact changes, decisions and penalties by their own adjudication in each community part. This includes the gameserver, the teamspeak server, the forums, the irc channel and every other community part. |
| §1.2 |
The staff attempts to treat all players fair and equal. If a player violates the rules for any reasons the staff has the right to remove his account(s) from the gameserver without any notifications or find other appropriate penalties. |
| §1.3 |
The authority of the staff in all community parts is unappeasable. The orders given by a gamemaster or the administration have to be obeyed. If necessary, disciplinary action will be taken. |

If you suspect a gamemaster of violating his rights you may inform the ingame administrator (Nayru) about your concern. Send an e-Mail to nayru[at]uthgard.de. |
| §1.5 |
Any transmission of the identities of the staffmembers is forbidden. If you know the playercharacters of a staffmember, however keep this information for you. |
| §1.6 |
Any pretension to be a staffmember is prohibited. If one claims to be a staffmember who is not, he will be punished. Impersonation of staff are reasons for immediate account termination. |
| §1.7 |
Any insulting or harassment on and against staffmembers can result in account termination. |
| §1.8 |
In case you run into an obvious problem, contact a gamemaster or administrator by using the /callgm command. Alternatively, you can also type /gm or /admin to get a list of all helpers who are online. Describe your problem in a social manner, if you don't get an answer at once or even at all please stay patient and try again later. For simple questions try /advice first. You will not receive a response to "How Do I" types of issues. Neither will we reply to bugreports. |

Misleading or lying on a staffmember for own benefits is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate account termination. |
| §1.10 |
Supportfeatures like /report and /callgm are to be used for what they were made. Abuse is prohibited. |
| §1.11 |
Disciplinary action will be taken in a staffmembers's sole discretion. The last instance is the administration. Repeated ruleviolations may result in immediate account termination. The staff can decide about penalties absolutely free. |

General Conduct |
| §2.1 |
Any forms of insulting, harassing, threatening, embarrassing, causing unwanted attention or discomforting on or against other players are strictly prohibited. This includes racial, national, original, ethnical, religious, gender-related, disablementical and other manners. |
| §2.2 |
Advertisement is in all community parts, even in the forums and irc, forbidden as long as the issue has nothing to do with Uthgard. |
| §2.3 |
Negative behaviour in one community part can affect the committer in every part of the community. |
| §2.4 |
You may not crossrealm-spy. This means logging in accounts in other realms to check where the players are and what they are doing to organize RvR of the own realm with these informations. However crossrealming is not forbidden. |
| §2.5 |
You may not cooperate with other realms in RvR. The realms are meant to have war. However if it is indispensable to fight each others in an equal manner (3 players of different realms fighting each other), there is no problem. As soon as groups of different realms organize their RvR together, it becomes a rule violation. |
| §2.6 |
You may not arrange any duels against players of other realms. This is a prohibited way of gaining realmpoints. Violation may result in losing all realm points or even account termination. |
| §2.7 |
You may not kill steal from members of your own realm. Kill stealing is defined as the repetitive killing of monsters who are already in combat with or pursuit of another player from your realm, without the other person's express permission. |
| §2.8 |
You may not leech experience from members of your realm. Experience leeching is defined as uninvited, repetitive initiation of combat against monsters that are already in combat with another player from your realm -OR- uninvited, repetitive healing of a realm-mate in combat with a monster. This is usually with the express intent of gaining experience with little or no risk to yourself. |
| §2.9 |
Each player may level with anyone else, regardless of the level. For example a level 50 player may gain experience in a levelgroup with a level 1 player. |
| §2.10 |
Logging in 2 accounts for own benefits is not allowed for one user in any case. This includes Buffbots, a second character in group, another character crafting and even a mule character. Any violation will result in immediate account termination. |
| §2.11 |
Killing Players that are coloured in grey is not forbidden. Although it is an unfair fight, players of low levels are able to gain experience in non-RvR areas. |
| §2.12 |
You may not grant anyone buffs in rvr areas while sitting in your safe zoneentrance and being away from your computer, as this is buffbot use. |

|
Account Responsibility and Restorations |
| §3.1 |
Your account's login informations are liable to your very own care . Any infringements caused by your account will be punished, no matter who's responsible for the happenings. |
| §3.2 |
There is no legal claim on restoring lost characters, items or other data. You may ask for restoration, however it is the staff’s decision whether we restore anything or not. |
| §3.3 |
If an account has been stolen, hacked, or in any other way compromised, we will suspend the account, to protect the characters and items within, while we investigate fully. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, and we will complete the investigation in as timely a manner as possible. |
| §3.4 |
If a character has been deleted, we will not restore the character. To delete a character you have to confirm your command by typing “yes”. You know what you are doing and there will be no restoration. |
| §3.5 |
If a guild’s leader has not been online for more than 2 months and the players in the guild are unable to manage the guild with their rights, the staff will promote the player with the highest rank in the guild to leader status (rank 0). |
| §3.6 |
Account- and charactertrades won't be supported. |

Character- and Guildnames |
| §4.1 |
You may not use any names that violate the General Conduct. This includes the use of names that are hateful, defamatory, racist, ethnically offensive, obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, or any other language that is offensive in nature and of course senseless ones. |
| §4.2 |
You may not use names of a staffmember or names that are related to a staffmember. |
| §4.3 |
You may not use names that are religiously or historically significant. |
| §4.4 |
You may not use names that refer to drugs or that are drug related. |
| §4.5 |
You may not use names where a combination of the first and last names violate any of the above rules. |
| §4.6 |
You may not use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that violate any of the above rules. |
| §4.7 |
We reserve the right, to force everyone to a change of the charactername, if we determine it as unappropriate. If you violate these rules, we will contact you. You have the chance to chose a new name for your character. Send an e-Mail to nayru[at]uthgard.de with a choice of names. We will then decide which name will be chosen. If none of your suggestion fits, we will chose a new name for you. You have no right of getting that name changed again. Characters of low levels are usually not renamed. |
| §4.8 |
Names of characters and guilds will not be changed unless they violate the rules. |

Abuse, Exploits, Bugs and 3rd Party Software |
| §5.1 |
The usage of hacks or exploits as well as the abuse of obvious bugs will result in immediate account termination. This includes Radartools, Speedhacks, Macrotools and Sniffertools. |
| §5.2 |
If you are unsure whether something is an exploit ask the staff before you use it any further. If you are sure it is an exploit that you detected report it immediately to the staff to prevent a potential account termination and stop using the exploit! |
| §5.3 |
Attacking other players through keepgates and -windows is allowed in each manner. |
| §5.4 |
If you want to report any kind of abuse, contact any staffmember. We will handle your information confidential and investigate the reported issue. |
